A Sawara Cypress is a bushy conifer which forms a large dense conical shrub. It has soft, silvery, blue grey foliage which often has purple tips in Winter. It prefers full sun and should be protected from harsh frost and icy winds. It is hardy, evergreen and is a very popular species for bonsai enthusiast.
